      Woman dies in rollover wreck

According to Amarillo Police Department one woman was killed in a one vehicle rollover on Saturday November 2, 2013.

APD officers responded to the wreck in the 1400 block of north Bivins at approximately 3:41 a.m. and found a 2001 Crown Victoria driven by 23-year-old Ashlee Angel Barrientez. APD said Barrientez was travelling on northeast 15th Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle, travelled through Gene Howe Park, rolled the car and came to a stop in the 1400 block of north Bivins.

Barrientez was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries. An autopsy has been ordered.

APD said Barrientez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck and speed was a factor in the crash and that alcohol may also be a factor.

APD's Traffic investigation squad is investigating the incident.
