West Nile cases confirmed in Texas Panhandle

The Texas Department of State Health Services has confirmed several west nile cases in humans and animals in Donley, Armstrong, and Carson.
In Donely, there is one reported equine case and one equine case in Armstrong. There has been one human case reported in Carson county.
Here are some tips to help prevent risk of infection. Clear any standing water or puddles including covering swimming pools when they are not in use. Vaccinate your animals and keep weeds and grass cut short.
