The Donut Stop has been in staple in Amarillo for the last four decades. Owners Erin Dauer and Russell Dauer took over the business in 2014 and have noticed the high demand for their fresh pastries.

"We pretty much got our hands full with the seven locations we have. We certainly would like to expand and we're looking for ways to do that, maybe with a potential license agreement process," Russell Dauer said. "Nothing's really happened officially with that yet, but you never know. You might get a Donut Stop in your town too," he quipped.

Dauer revealed key ingredients to the company's success are the loyal customers and employees.

"I think that fact that we have an open kitchen, you can see the product being made, we have a lot of longtime staff," Dauer acknowledged. "And a consistent product and consistent service, he added.

The co-owner also noted, that if they ever make a mistake with an order, he encourages customers come back so they can make it right.
