WBU Flying Queens honored by Women's Basketball Hall of Fame


ayland Baptist's Women's Basketball Flying Queens team will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Saturday, June 8 in Knoxville, Tennessee for the all-time longest college winning streak.

The Wayland Baptist Flying Queens, from 1953-1958, won 131 games in a row. Now, 79-year

-old Lometa Odom, with her teammates and 93-year-old coach Caddo Matthews, are traveling to Tennessee on Thursday, June 6 to be honored as "Trailblazers of the Game".
