Warrant arrest leads to discovery of counterfeit bills

On April 30, at around 3:30 p.m., Amarillo police officers observed an individual that has outstanding felony warrants. He was sitting in a vehicle in the 500 block of S. Georgia.
Officers detained the individual and he was taken into custody. He's identified as Gabriel Palasio Toquinto, 28. During an inventory of the vehicle, officers located six counterfeit bills along with drug paraphernalia.
Toquinto was arrested and booked into Potter County Correction Center on an outstanding Parole Violation warrant with an original charge of Forgery, a warrant for Evading Arrest./Detention with a Motor Vehicle, and charges of Forgery Financial Instrument, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
