Two people dead after vehicle roll over in Wheeler County
WHEELER COUNTY, Texas (KVII) —
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was sent to a one-vehicle crash on I-40 in Wheeler County resulting in the death of two people.
At 8 a.m. Monday morning, 26-year-old Andrew Derosia of Jacksonville, Florida was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer.
According to Authorities, Derosia veered off the road and over-corrected the steering which caused him to lose control of the vehicle resulting in the vehicle rolling over multiple times in the center median before coming to a rest on its top.
Passenger 29-year-old Jeremy Lassere of D'lberville, Mississippi was ejected from the vehicle resulting in his death.
The other passenger 21-year-old Paxton Key of Long Beach, Mississippi was airlifted to the hospital in Amarillo with Life-threatening injuries.
Both Derosia and Lassere were pronounced dead at the scene by Wheeler County Justice of the Peace, Rick Walden.
At this time the crash is under investigation.
