Two booked after stealing from Kohl's and other stores

Randa Rachael Medrano, 32, was one of two booked into Potter County after shoplifting from Kohl's and other businesses.

Two arrested on robbery after shoplifting from Kohl's and several other stores.

On June 2 at almost 5 p.m., Amarillo police officers were dispatched to the Kohl's store at 2601 Soncy on a theft that had turned into robbery.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by loss prevention officers for Kohl's that they had detained a male and female for stealing items from the store.

The female was in a wheelchair and was concealing items within the chair. The male was pushing the wheelchair around thestore and eventually out the doors without paying for any of the merchandise.

Once outside, loss prevention officers approached the couple and attempted to return them back inside the store.

The male subject began pushing the loss prevention officers away and eventually punched one employee in the face. Both suspects took off running.

A witness followed the suspects to a vehicle in the parking lot and direction APD to

their location.

The two subjects were taken into custody without any further incident.

In the suspect's vehicle, officers recovered numerous other items are believed to have been stolen from nearby stores. These items were returned to the stores and additional charges are pending in those thefts.

The suspects are identified as Charles Allen Robinson, 24, and Randa Rachael Medrano, 32. Both were arrested and transported to Potter County Correction Center on a charge of robbery.
