Two arrested in connection to auto burglaries

APD has arrested two people in connection to three auto burglaries.

Two people have been arrested in connection to three auto burglaries.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, Brandon Taylor Burk, a 23-year-old man, and Kaelyn Renee Robinson, a 25-year-old woman, were both arrested yesterday after police got a call about a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot.

Officials say the two led police on a chase and the DPS helicopter assisted in following the vehicle until it came to a stop at the intersection of South Park and Palacio Drive. The two then ran from officers on foot.

APD said officers found items in the vehicle from three auto burglaries that had been committed in the night as well as identifying information for a victim of an auto burglary that had been reported the day before and a debit card belonging to a victim of an auto burglary that happened on July 4, 2017.

Burk was booked into the Randall County Jail for Burglary of a vehicle and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, and Robinson was booked into the Randall County Jail for Evading Arrest or Detention and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
