Two men have been arrested after Amarillo Police Department responded to two different assaults in Amarillo.
According to APD, officers responded to the first complaint at 11:09 a.m. in the 1800 block of north Mirror. A woman told police that a man pointed a gun at her and threatened her. APD believe that the man was attempting to locate the woman's son who was not home at the time of the incident and the suspect drove away.
As officers were investigating the incident, APD received another call that shots had been fired at a residence in the 1400 block of north Highland. A man and an infant were home when at least two bullets struck the residence and hit the interior living room wall. APD said the victim informed officers that he felt something strike or nearly strike his head. The man was not injured in the incident and officers found two .22 caliber cartridges in the street outside the residence and a spent bullet in the living room.
Investigating officers learned the description of the suspect vehicle and located it around 1:00 p.m. in the 700 block of north Roberts. Officers spoke with the suspects and took them to APD.
APD said both suspects were identified as being those involved and will be booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
