Two arrested at Amarillo Motel on drug sales charges

Amarillo police officers arrested two men in the early morning hours after officers got information that the men were selling crack cocaine from a motel room according to a press release released today.
According to the release on December 21, APD received information that someone in a room at the Sundown Motel, 3612 Amarillo Boulevard East, was selling crack cocaine.
Officers and COPPS obtained a search warrant for the room and executed the warrant at 2:30 am on room 119 at the motel, according to the release.
Two men were in the room, along with two packets containing a substance believed to be crack cocaine, scales, paraphernalia and approximately $2000 in cash.
According the release, officers arrested Reynaldo Wheeler Jr., 27, and Michael Thomas Wheeler. 24. on charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group one, over 1 but less than 4 grams in a drug free zone (within 1000 feet of an elementary school at Amarillo Blvd. and N. Grand).
Both men had outstanding warrants and were booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
