Today is National Unfriend Day, a day where Facebook users unfriend those friends who are just cluttering up news feeds or actually not even friends in real life.
This is the second year for the event, originally started by ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
"NUD is the international day when all Facebook users shall protect the sacred nature of friendship by cutting out any 'friend fat' on their pages occupied by people who are not truly their friends," according to the show's website.
Kimmel says you should simply sift through your Facebook friends and get rid of those people you really don't need.
"Half of the people in the country are on Facebook, and many of those people have hundreds if not thousands of 'friends' - and I find this unacceptable. No one has thousands of friends."
