DESOTO, Texas (AP) - The bodies of a Dallas-area couple have been found in an apparent murder-suicide on the day their divorce became final. DeSoto police discovered the bodies last night after receiving a 911 call about a break-in at a house. Investigators say the man apparently shot and killed the woman before taking his own life.

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - A Southeast Texas lawyer has been sentenced to two years in prison for misusing $365,000 he was supposed to manage. Forty-year-old Matthew Morones of Silsbee was sentenced yesterday in federal court. Authorities say the Indian Paintbrush Development had about $365,000 in two banks and Morones used the money to buy six certificates of deposit.

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - A judge will decide if a terrorism consultant will testify at the trial of the Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage. Major Nidal Hasan's attorneys object to the testimony of Evan Kohlmann, who is expected to be questioned today at a pretrial hearing. Kohlmann says Hasan meets six factors that indicate someone is a homegrown terrorist.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas (AP) - The signature restaurant at the George W. Bush Presidential Center has been named Cafe 43. Center officials revealed the restaurant name yesterday, and the eatery is scheduled to open May 1st. George W. Bush Foundation President Mark Langdale says Laura Bush has been active in designing Cafe 43 and its menu.
