DALLAS (AP) - Emergency responders are searching for a Dallas firefighter who reported being trapped while battling a blaze at a condominium complex. Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans says the six-alarm fire started earlier today. Evans says another firefighter was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Two women and a worker at North Texas convenience store have been burned after a suspect set one of the women on fire. Fort Worth fire officials say the incident happened earlier today. Another woman suspected of throwing the flammable liquid remains at large. Authorities are trying to figure out what prompted the assault.

HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police are looking for two or three suspects after one person was killed and two others wounded in a downtown gunfight. A 27-year-old man told authorities he was confronted by four or five armed men yesterday morning. He says he shot two of the suspects after the group fired at him. One was pronounced dead at the scene.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The state Senate is set to hold a confirmation hearing for new University of Texas System board members. The Senate must approve regents appointed by Governor Rick Perry. The hearing today will include testimony from nominees Jeff Hildebrand of Houston and Ernest Aliseda of McAllen.
