SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The suspect in a Central Texas double homicide has been found dead at the bottom of a cliff. San Marcos Police found the body of Daniel Brewster Stillwell yesterday inside his car at the bottom of a rural, winding road. Police had focused on Stillwell as a suspect in the shooting deaths of Hailey Nicholls and Jesse Robledo.

MINERAL WELLS, Texas (AP) - A medical examiner has ruled that a Texas woman found by her son dead in a freezer died after taking methamphetamine and other drugs. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's report says Shannon Herrin Huddleston apparently grabbed a coat before crawling into the freezer. The report says Herrin died of the toxic effects of methamphetamine.

BELTON, Texas (AP) - A Belton jury in the trial of a Fort Hood soldier arrested for carrying an assault rifle in public will continue deliberating today. Army Master Sergeant Christopher Grisham was hiking with his son when he was arrested. The officer has testified he worried about Grisham's reaction after approaching him.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The Austin City Council has banned tubing along a popular section of the Colorado River. The council says people could be overtaken by high waters from a nearby dam. People with sturdier crafts will still be allowed to use the section of river between the Longhorn Dam and US 183.
