TERRELL, Texas (AP) - Police say five people have been killed in a Dallas-area city and a suspect has been arrested. Police say a woman was found fatally shot Monday afternoon at a house in Terrell. The body of another woman was found in a burning home nearby. Lay says a man and a woman were found shot to death at a third residence and a male clerk was killed at a convenience store.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Lubbock's Planned Parenthood Women's Health Center can resume taking appointments. That's after a federal judge struck down new restrictions that would have effectively shuttered it. The judge found that the law imposed an unconstitutional burden on women seeking to terminate a pregnancy.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst is demanding federal reimbursement to county jails for inmates who are in the United States illegally. Dewhurst says "it's outrageous that county jails pay for housing more than 130,000 people that illegally enter our state." He added that "the immigration conversation begins and ends with strict border security as our counties can no longer fund this massive financial burden."

FARMERSVILLE, Texas (AP) - Governor Rick Perry will travel to Farmersville to present the state's honor to World War II hero Audie Murphy. Murphy joined the U.S. Army in 1942 and served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Europe and Mediterranean. He earned all but one of the U.S. medals for valor and was decorated by France and Belgium.
