      DALLAS (AP) - The first book printed in British North America is making a stop in Dallas this week before it's auctioned off. The Bay Psalm Book will be on display Thursday afternoon at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library in downtown Dallas. Sotheby's is putting the book up for auction later this month.

      KILLEEN, Texas (AP) - A charity that collected $1 million after the Fort Hood shooting rampage is still working to distribute the money. Officials for the Central Texas-Fort Hood chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army say they worry about "unscrupulous individuals" trying to profit off the 2009 massacre. The charity won't say how it spent the money or how many people received money.

      HOUSTON (AP) - Blanco's Bar and Grill in Houston is closing after 30 years. Co-owner Karin Barnes says she feels like she is losing an old friend. A final bash by many musicians who play there regularly will be held on the closing day later this month. Country singer Gary P. Nunn says it's one of his favorite places to play.

      CHIRENO, Texas (AP) - An East Texas woman who's attended Chireno United Methodist Church for 80 years has been recognized. Lilly Stone joined the church in 1933. Stone celebrated her 88th birthday on Thursday. Chireno is a town of about 400 people located about 200 miles southeast of Dallas.
