RENO, Texas (AP) - North Texas has had another minor earthquake. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 2.6 magnitude earthquake hit last night. It was centered a mile east-southeast of Reno. A 2.4 magnitude earthquake happened October 16th in North Texas.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is visiting Texas today to promote the health care law he has championed. Obama's visit will underscore obstacles the law faces in Republican states where governors such as Texas' Rick Perry have refused to take advantage of the law's expansion of Medicaid. More than 23 percent of Texas residents are uninsured.

ROMA, Texas (AP) - A Customs and Border Protection helicopter with apparent main rotor blade damage has made a safe landing in South Texas. Nobody was injured in the emergency landing yesterday in a vacant lot in the border town of Roma. Authorities are investigating how the helicopter was damaged while on patrol and assisting agents on the ground.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - A man faces sentencing today after pleading guilty to bribing El Paso officials for contracts with his insurance company. Francisco Apodaca is the former president of Access HealthSource. Apodaca's attorneys requested a postponement of his September sentencing while he recovered from a brain injury.
