SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A man is in custody after police got calls about a possible gunman at a San Antonio hospital but officers say no shots were fired. Authorities say a person of interest was apprehended last night near Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, which was on lockdown while police did room-to-room searches. No injuries were reported and no one saw a gun.

COOPER, Texas (AP) - Two men have been charged in connection with the shooting of a Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden. Eighteen-year-old Eli Stephens is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while 21-year-old Dalton Haddix is charged with ix failure to report a felony. Authorities say off-duty Game Warden Chris Fried was bow hunting Sunday in the Cooper Wildlife Management Area when he was shot.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - The suspect in the stabbing death of a North Texas real estate agent is in police custody following a standoff at a Fort Worth home. Police say the man shot multiple times at SWAT officers yesterday but officers did not return fire. The man was taken to a local hospital with at least one self-inflicted gunshot wound. Forty-nine-year-old Suzanne Parsons was found dead Monday afternoon at her Fort Worth office. She died from multiple stab and cut wounds to the neck and chest.

WACO, Texas (AP) - Central Texas authorities arrested a man after he tried to run toward a wooded area after his vehicle went airborne and rolled several times following a high-speed chase. Authorities say the 30-minute chase ended yesterday afternoon in a field on Interstate 35 in Waco. The suspect was wanted on numerous felony charges, including evading arrest and parole violations.
