Teenager killed in Fourth of July crash

A 17-year old was killed in a Fourth of July crash and authorites are now investigating the cause.

The Randall County Sheriff's Office said it happened just after 11:00 p.m. Friday night in the 13900 block of Johns Way Blvd. in the River Falls addition in eastern Randall County.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the vehicle, a 2000 GMC Jimmy SUV rolled and the 17 year old driver was pinned in the wreckage. There were two other passengers in the Jimmy, a 17-year female who was flown by Life Star to Northwest Texas Hospital is in critical condition and a 23-year old male passenger who was transported to the hospital by Baptist St. Anthony's Ambulance.

Names of the victims cannot be released at this time due next of kin notifications are still being attempted. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or speed are contributing factors and the incident is under investigation by the Randall County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Department of Public Safety.
