Two Amarillo teenagers were arrested Saturday night after vandalizing multiple vehicles with a BB/pellet type gun.
Amarillo Police Department officers responded to the vandalism report in the 1900 block of south Van Buren at approximately 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found several damaged vehicles and learned the suspects were using the gun to shoot out windows on vehicles parked on or near the street.
As officers were investigating they noticed a vehicle enter the area and quickly try to leave. The officer on duty noted that the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle reported to be involved in a vandalism report the previous day. The officer then pulled over the vehicle and received consent to search it.
In their search officers found several CO2 cartridges, two BB/pellet guns and numerous BBs. The 16-year-old driver was arrested and booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains for criminal mischief. 17-year-old Terry Michael Glover was a passenger in the vehicle and was arrested for criminal mischief and booked into the Potter County Correction Center, which is a state jail felony according to APD.
