L ast week, we told you about a scam going around where people were receiving email reportedly from the IRS, but don't believe them.
T he internal revenue service does not contact people through the int ernet when it comes to personal or financial information.
CPA & V. President of Brawn, Graham & Co Larry White said, "T he IRS does not contact taxpayers through emails and through the internet. S o, anything that says it came from the IRS or emails from the IRS , have nothing to do with it, delete it and don't respond."
W hite says if you don't receive a "written" confirmation from the IRS , then it's probably not from the IRS.
