G ood news for gun owners: there's a chance you could soon be looking at a tax-free weekend.

S tate Sen. Jeff Wentworth is sponsoring a bill to do just that.

I f it passes, it would be similar to what you see right before school starts in August.

Some g un owners have been nervous since they've heard rumors that sales taxes were going up later this year.

But Burnie Stokes, owner of Panhandle Gunslingers, says a tax-free weekend would sure ease some of that stress.

"I think it's about time. I think the timing would be right the last weekend of August right before the hunting season starts. I think it's very good idea. We need to get a tax break." said Stokes.

G un enthusiasts have been stocking up on ammunition already, and some gun shops may find it even harder to keep it in stock if this bill passes.
