Target security breach impacts customers

If youâ??ve shopped at Target in the last few weeks, you may want to check with your bank to see whether youâ??ve been a victim of identity theft.

On Dec. 19th, Target confirmed that credit and debit card information from purchases made at Target Stores from Nov. 27th to Dec. 15th may have been compromised. The breach may have impacted up to 40 million customers.

According to a statement from Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel, the issue has been resolved and the breach is under investigation. However, if you made any purchases at a Target store during that time, you may want to check with your bank for any suspicious purchases.
