Tanner says she was put in bad position

Potter County Judge candidate Nancy Tanner says before current Judge Arthur Ware fired her last summer she had been put in a "bad position."

After the Judge suffered a stroke in 2010, Tanner says she stepped up and fulfilled many of his duties.

She had been his administrator for twenty years.

Tanner says he was influenced by others but did not specify whom.

She says she "tried to function for the Judge but was not given the authority."

She says she also doesnâ??t understand why he supports former Amarillo Mayor Debra McCartt for the position.

Ware threw his support behind McCartt.

McCartt says soon after she announced her candidacy Ware called her "It wasnâ??t anything I asked for. Iâ??m very proud of that support."
