UPDATE 10:34aPolice are continuing their search for the man who they say stole a vehicle with a 1-month-old inside.Security camera video captured who police believe is the suspect. He is described as 6'0" - 6'2" and 25-35 years old with very short hair or a shaved head. Police said he was wearing a black shirt with a white design along with light colored pants or jeans.Any information on this suspect can be reported to police at (806) 378-3038.UPDATE 8:08aThe child and the infant have been located, police said.The infant was uninjured.
They were located at a motal in the 5400 block of Amarillo Boulevard East. Officers said they had checked this area 10 minutes after the infant and vehicle were reported missing but they were not there.
A suspect was taken into custody but police now believe it is not the correct person. The description of the person may have been incorrect, police said.First ReportedPolice need the public's help locating an SUV stolen containing a 1-month-old baby inside.
According to police, a copper-colored 1998 Toyota RAV4 was stolen from a convenience store in the area of Amarillo Boulevard East and Columbine just before 7 a.m., Monday.
Inside the vehicle's back seat was the 1-month-old boy.
It is not known which direction the vehicle was traveling, police said.
If this vehicle is seen, 911 should be called.
