Suspect sought in Amarillo robbery investigation

Amarillo Police Department is searching for information and the suspect involved in a burglary turned robbery on Tuesday.
According to APD, officers responded to the 700 block of north Johnson at 10:45 Tuesday morning. The victim told officers that she caught a man attempting to steal her television when she arrived home. The victim said she startled the suspect when she caught him, forcing him to drop the television so the suspect grabbed a Play Station 3 console and other small electronic devices and left the residence. APD said the suspect hit the victim in the face before he left.
Officers are investigating the incident and the suspect is described as a black male in his 30s. He is clean shaven with a thin build and was last seen wearing prescription glasses, a black hoodie and black pants.
