Although there were people in the area at the time, no one could provide information on a suspect in Saturday's shooting -- not even the victim.
On Aug. 2 just after 5 a.m., officers were sent to the 800 block of N. Washington on a report of shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male in the street that had suffered three gunshot wounds to the stomach area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
There were several people in the area; however, no one could give officers details of what might have occurred.
The victim is also unable to give any details to who the suspect may have been.
Officers located three shell casings, a pocket knife and a small amount of marijuana near the scene. These items were taken and booked as evidence.
The victim remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries.
