The 47th District Attorney's office accepted charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest in a motor vehicle against Julian Caldwell.
On May 21, a woman was walking from her vehicle to a home in the 500 block of W. Colorado when the suspect approached here in the yard and threatened her with a gun. He then struck her with the gun and let in her car.
Police searched for the man and vehicle and were able to locate it later that same morning. The officer that saw the stolen car attempted to stop it when Caldwell sped away, triggering a pursuit.
The attempt to evade the officer ended at 7th and N. Polk, when the suspect attempted to turn south onto N. Polk. He lost control and the vehicle left the roadway, running into a building at 616 N. Polk.
The suspect ran east and then south in an alley. The officer caught and arrested the 23-year-old Julian Caldwell after he went over a fence.
Officers found a black pellet gun that looks like a real firearm in the front seat of the car.
Caldwell is in custody in the Potter County Correctional Center.
