STRATFORD - Stratford Chief of Police Aaron Sheehan just returned from a training seminar in Alexandria, Virginia at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Chief Sheehan was selected to be one of close to 6000 law enforcement and emergency workers that have now completed this training.
This seminar was to provide a better understanding of the issue of missing and sexually exploited children and offered training in how to handle a situation when a child goes missing.
Chief Sheehan said, "This has been one of the most valuable experiences for me in my 16 years as law enforcement. To have been selected itself was an honor, but to be able to bring this knowledge home and put it into practice, is a plus for the citizens of Stratford."
