Speed a factor in early morning Amarillo Blvd. crash

Speed was a factor in this morning's Amarillo Boulevard crash involving a Toyota and Honda.

At about 1:30 this morning, an Amarillo police officer was driving west approaching an overpass in the 4600 block of Amarillo Boulevard East when the officer drove up on a car crash.

A black Toyota Camry had been eastbound at a high rate of speed.

A red Honda was westbound on the Amarillo Boulevard.

The driver of the Camry veered into the oncoming Honda, striking the car on the front left side of the Honda.

The driver of the Honda as well as the driver andpassenger of the Camry were all taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Speed was a factor in this crash.
