Salas gets life for killing a 10-year-old Clovis boy

The man on trial for the murder of a young Clovis boy will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Tuesday, a Clovis judge sentenced 23-year-old Edward Salas to the maximum sentence allowed, of life in prison plus 56 years.

Salas was found guilty in April for his role in the death of 10-year-old Carlos Perez.

Salas was one of five people arrested in the fatal shooting and one of the last to go to trial.

It was back in September of 2005 when Perez was killed by five men as he slept in his bedroom.

Police are still searching for Noe Torres who was recently profiled on America's Most Wanted.

Torres is the last of the five men still at large.
