Run For The Wall bikers stop in Amarillo

A group of nearly 300 bikers stopped in Amarillo as they travel across the country raising awareness for veterans.

The group started in Los Angeles Wednesday, splitting into three routes as they travel east and will meet up again as one group at the nation's capital at the Vietnam Wall on Memorial Day Weekend

Run For the Wall was started 27 years ago by a group of Vietnam vets wanting to raise awareness about POWs and MIAs.

The group that arrived in Amarillo were welcomed by the community with a flag line and banquet hosted by Christian Heritage Church.
