Several arrested following prostitution, robbery incident in East Amarillo
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
A 41-year-old man called the Amarillo Police Department on Wednesday to report a robbery and then ended up behind bars.
James Thomas Wilkins II contacted the police to report he was robbed at the Estess Motel on Amarillo Blvd.
The officers later discovered that Wilkins had solicited a prostitute and booked him into the Potter County Detention Center.
According to the Potter County Sheriff’s Office, Wilkins bonded out later that day.
There were five suspects involved in Wilkins’ initial reported robbery.
Tiffany Garrison, John Britt and Barbara Strout were arrested at the motel for aggravated robbery and are being held on $50,000 bonds.
Brandon Horton and Chanee Briscoe were charged with tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair. Horton is facing an additional charge for a warrant out of Crosby County.
