River Road coach charged with 6 counts of sex with student

A former River Road baseball coach was charged on Thursday with having sex with two female students.

32-year-old John David Bryan, was charged with six counts of improper relationship between an educator and student.

Bryan was released earlier this month from his duties as a teacher and baseball coach. He was previously placed on paid administrative leave by the district.

According to the Potter County Sheriff's Office, it is alleged that Bryan had an inappropriate relationship with two female students.

It is reported that Bryan, according to court documents, had sexual intercourse four times with one female student. The court documents also allege he engaged in sexual intercourse and had oral sex with another.

Because the female students are enrolled in the River Road school district, their identities will not be released.

Authorities said it launched an investigation on April 5.

If convicted, Bryan faces a 20-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine.
