Registration begins for Salvation Army socks & shoes program

B eginning Monday, July 26th, the Salvation Army will start registering children entering kindergarten through grade 12, for the opportunity to receive a voucher for shoes and socks for the upcoming school year.
Registration will be held at the Salvation Army Harrington Hope Center at 400 S. Harrison, Monday through August 13. On Monday,Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday you can come in from 1-5pm and then on Tuesday those hours are extended 1-7pm.
Children in Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Carson, and Oldham counties are eligible with supporting documentation and identification.
The necessary documents needed to receive assistance include: the parent or legal guardian's valid identification and proof of guardianship, the parent or legal guardian's social security card, proof of income and expenses, birth certificates of each child, last year's report card or proof of school registration and each child's social security card.
Priority funding will be given for children who have not been assisted in the past.
