The much anticipated Randall County Sherriff's Office Mud Volleyball Tournament was held July 27, 2013 with a huge turnout.
The Tournament had a total of 100 teams who battled not only for a position to play, but for the championship title while getting a nice mud bath.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Sheriff's Office Employee Assistance Fund, which aids officers who face unexpected and sudden hardships.
RCSO Lt. Joe Morris said it is very important that the employees have this fund to back them up while they are supporting the rest of the community.
With Mud pits splashing and Volleyballs flying, spectators saw everyone smiling and laughing.
"It is so great to see everybody is playing and having fun in this family friendly atmosphere," said Morris "The kids love it. I even dug a pit for the kids, because for some reason they love getting in that mud."
Morris said the Mud Mania Volleyball Tournament helps to motivate community support for the officers by allowing them to get to know the people they're supporting.
