Raffle raises $119,000 for Amarillo schools

he Amarillo Education Foundation received more than $119,000 Thursday to benefit Amarillo and surrounding schools.

The money was raised through a raffle ticket fundraiser. Tickets were sold by community groups and in Toot'n Totum stores for a chance to win a $10,000 Visa gift card.

At the check presentation, 5 finalists were drawn and a winner will be chosen at the upcoming Partners in Education Banquet on Tuesday, April 15th.

For the last 6 years, the annual fundraiser has raised more than $600,000 for Amarillo and surrounding schools.
