After being deported for negligent manslaughter, an illegal immigrant was captured by U.S. Border Patrol again and will be charged with re-entry after deportation.
U.S. Border Patrol agents were patrolling near Carrizo Springs when they apprehended Fidelino Castro-Castro, 30, of Guatemala among a group of 45 other undocumented immigrants.
During processing, agents discovered that Castro had previously been deported from the U.S. after he was convicted of negligent homicide involving a motor vehicle in Texas County, Oklahoma. He was sentenced to five years of incarceration.
Castro-Castro will be charged with re-entry after deportation, and his prior order of removal will be reinstated. He will be removed to his native country upon completion of all criminal proceedings.
The Del Rio Border Patrol Sector is part of the South Texas Campaign, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations.
