PPD: 2 arrested on drug charges in Pampa

Autumn Garza was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Two people have been arrested by Pampa Police Department for possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop in Pampa.

According to PPD, officers stopped a Dodge truck in the 100 block of north Cuyler for an equipment violation. The vehicle was driven by Autumn Garza, 25, 35-year-old Jason Turk was a passenger of the vehicle at the time of the stop.

Officers searched the vehicle and found 294 grams of methamphetamine worth $29,400. Garza was questioned by officers and later attempted to flee the scene.

PPD said both Garza and Turk were arrested and booked into the Gray County Jail.

PPD said the origin and the destination for the drugs are unknown at this time.
