At 6pm on Thursday June 5th, the Polk Street Cattle Drive took the streets of Amarillo by storm . Dozens of Texas Longhorn cattle were accompanied by people on horseback, who made sure that they stayed on course while they meandered the streets of Downtown Amarillo. The celebration of Amarillo's western heritage kicked off the Coors Ranch Rodeo, which will take place this weekend. Pronews 7's David Grasso-Ortega spoke with Eric Miller from the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce about the event, and how bringing back this tradition to Downtown after a 14 year lapse, was exciting for both citizens and organizers alike.
