Pizza delivery driver robbed at gunpoint in South Amarillo

Amarillo police are investigating after another pizza delivery driver was robbed Wednesday night.

According to police, officers were sent to the 4500- block of Maverick Street on a robbery just after 10:30 p.m. The victim was delivering a pizza to the location and when he got out of his vehicle, he was approached by a suspect who pointed a gun at him.

Police said the suspect demanded everything the victim had. He took money at the pizza from the delivery driver. The suspect then left on foot, police said. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

APD said the suspect is described as a white man in his 20s who is between 5'10" and 6' tall with a medium build. He had dark hair that was parted down the middle and came down to his ears. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing gray jeans, a blue or green shirt and a black jacket.

This robbery comes just two weeks after two pizza delivery drivers were robbed in one night. Those robberies happened in North Amarillo.
