A sexual harassment complaint was made against the superintendent and assistant superintendent of Perryton ISD.

A third party investigator was hired to investigate and the Perryton ISD school board held a special meeting Tuesday night.

In executive, closed session the school board digested what the investigator found and made a decision regarding the two employees jobs.

Both superintendent, Robert Hall, and assistant superintendent, Keith Langfitt, have been in their roles for more than five years.

"We take sexual harassment very seriously and we are concerned with doing the right thing, making sure we make a good decision on any decision, so we digested all of that information tonight," said Monty Kinnard. "We are still reviewing options with our legal council."

After about three hours, the school board president announced that the two will be taking a leave of absence. Details of the complaint have not been made public, because the investigation is still ongoing.

The district says they are still reviewing options with its legal council.
