Deputies from Potter County Sheriff's Office seized approximately $2 million worth during a traffic stop last week on Interstate 40.
According to PCSO, deputies stopped a Chevy Tahoe on Interstate 40 West Friday and were given permission to search the vehicle. As deputies searched the vehicle, they found the spare tire weighed more and was much more dense, after using a density meter, than a normal tire.
PCSO said the vehicle was later transported to an auto shop where the tire was removed revealing 42 pounds of methamphetamine. PSCO estimates the street value of the drugs to be approximately $2 million.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
