Potter County Sheriff's Office arrested a 46-year-old man Monday after a deputy found approximately 20 pounds of marijuana.
According to PCSO, the deputy stopped a 1998 Volkswagen on Interstate 40 west of Bushland for a moving violation. The deputy was given permission to search the vehicle after receiving inconsistent stories from the driver and the passenger. During the search, the deputy discovered 20 pounds of marijuana inside the trunk.
PCSO said the passenger was released at the scene after the driver admitted to transporting the marijuana. The driver was then arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
