The Panhandle Plains Historical Museum is busy gearing up for the Christmas holiday.
This weekend is its annual Christmas Open House. The event is on Friday, Dec. 2 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 2:00-6:00 p.m.
"This is the time to come to the museum if you haven't been in a while," said Andrea Porter, Director of Communications for PPHM.
As for admission to the event, the suggested donation is one can of food to be donated to the High Plains Food Bank.
Santa Claus will make an appearance at the event as well as several school choirs and bands.
"It's a great Christmas season opener," said Porter. "We encourage everyone to bring their whole family."
The Panhandle Plains Historical Museum is located in Canyon at 2503 4th Avenue on the campus of West Texas A&M University.
