Pampa woman survives gunshot to the head

Pampa PD has identified a suspect believed to have shot a Pampa woman in the head.

This morning at 4:40 a.m., the Pampa Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a person in the 100 block of South Sumner who reported that a neighbor had come to the residence and stated that she had been shot.

Officers responded and found a 51-year-old female with a single gunshot wound to the head. She was treated at the scene and then later transported by Lifestar to Northwest Texas Hospital. She is currently listed in stable condition.

A suspect in this case has been identified, and the investigation will continue. The victim knows the suspect.
