Pampa woman killed at busy intersection

A Pampa woman was killed in Gray County late Tuesday morning after officials say a grain truck broadsided her car.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety, a Dodge Neon driven by 25-year-old Barbara Anne Franks of Pampa was stopped at the southbound stop sign on Loop 171. That's when witnesses say she then pulled out in the path of the truck.

The collision happened at the intersection of US 60 and Loop 171. Residents tell Pronews 7 this is a very busy intersection.

Officials say Franks was killed instantly. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported and an autopsy was not ordered.
