One arrested in connection with NE Amarillo stabbing
AMARILLO, Texas —
The Amarillo Police Department said one man is now behind bars after allegedly stabbing his son-in-law.
Police tell ABC 7 News they were called to the 3800 block of Northeast 10th after a fight broke out between two men around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
They said during the fight, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed his son-in-law in the hands.
Police said the victim left and was later found on Hayden Street. He was then taken to an Amarillo hospital for minor injuries.
APD tells ABC 7 News the suspect is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a family member and is being held in the Potter County Detention Center.
APD is not releasing the name of the suspect.
