OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Department of Human Services is set to begin accepting applications for heating assistance for needy families.
The department said in a news release that applications will be accepted starting Dec. 10 for the $8 million in federal funds. Funds will be dispersed to eligible candidates until the money is depleted.
Eligibility for the program is based on each household's income and assets. Only one payment per household is allowed.
Residents should apply at the local DHS office in their county.
