Officials: Voter ID will be required to vote

Monday was the last day to register to vote in the upcoming November 5th election.

There will be a significant change for voters on election day.

A photo ID will be required to vote.

In terms of ID, most folks will have what they need if they drive there.

A driversâ?? license is the most common form of identification.

However, there are six other forms that are accepted

The following is a list of accepted photo ID:

A Texas Driver License issued by DPS.

A Texas Election Identification Certificate.

A Texas personal identification card issued by DPS.

A Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS.

A U.S. military identification card containing your photograph.

A U.S. citizenship certificate containing your photograph.

A U.S. passport.

If you show up without a photo ID, youâ??ll be able to cast a provisional ballot.
